Sydney Lolita Cusic is a vibrant and passionate actor, director, and writer who hails from the South Side of Chicago. A proud alumna of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Sydney has a deep love for storytelling, particularly when it comes to bringing the richness of the Black experience to the screen and stage.
Sydney’s heart beats for Shakespeare, anime, and all things romance. She’s captivated by stories that delve into the complexities of love, especially those that highlight the beauty and depth of Black love. Her performances are infused with warmth, authenticity, and a deep connection to the characters she portrays.
She has starred in the award-winning short film Away From Home, the coming-of-age series Bluebird, and the Western dark comedy The Rider and The Bull. She originated the role of “Cheriese” in the World Premiere of the powerful play “FLEX” by Candrice Jones and has continued to work steadily in the industry.
